No — but visibility depends on the mesh you choose. Ion+ is designed to balance effective filtration with aesthetics: its fine structure keeps an almost crystal-clear view outdoors while the electrostatic charge attracts and holds fine particles. Clear³ has a denser multi-layer structure that can slightly reduce visibility but delivers noticeably higher dust-particle capture. So the choice comes down to your priority — maximum clarity with Ion+, or maximum filtration with Clear³.
Not much. By optimising the open-area ratio, FreshMesh keeps rooms well ventilated even though the weave is finer than a standard fly screen.
Yes. Fitted with a magnetic strip or hook-and-loop tape, the mesh lifts off tool-free for seasonal cleaning and storage. A gentle rinse and letting it dry fully is all it takes.
Yes. Ion+ and Clear³ are independently tested and contain no toxic chemicals — they’re made for everyday home use, with no insecticides or repellents. When choosing between the two, it’s worth considering durability. Ion+ is an extremely fine mesh, so sharp claws or scratching can damage its structure and create holes that reduce its filtering performance; even so, it is tested to hold up under normal use. Clear³ is tougher thanks to its multi-layer construction, but it too isn’t designed to withstand prolonged scratching or pressure from pets.
